What is APICS and ASCM?
APICS, which stands for the American Production and Inventory Control Society, is a global professional association focused on supply chain, operations, and logistics management. In 2021, APICS merged with the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) to form the Association for Supply Chain and Operations Management.
ASCM San Diego Chapter is one of ASCM's most active Chapters and we have over 400 members located mostly in San Diego county and the Bay Area, California, including members in Tucson, Arizona, Sonora, and Baja California, Mexico, and some from all over the world.
ASCM provides a wealth of educational resources, including training materials, courses, and publications, that help professionals stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in supply chain and operations management.
ASCM offers several globally recognized certifications that can significantly enhance a professional's career prospects in these industries.
