Volunteer with ASCM San Diego at Feeding San Diego

We’re excited to announce that ASCM San Diego Chapter has partnered with Feeding San Diego for a hands-on volunteer event! Together, we’ll help provide over 29 million meals each year to those facing hunger in our community.

This is a great way to connect with fellow members, make a tangible impact, and support our neighbors in need.

Important Reminders

• Please arrive 5 minutes early – the shift begins promptly at 2:00 PM

• Closed-toe shoes required (tennis or running shoes recommended)

• Leave valuables in your vehicle

• No food, drinks, or gum in the warehouse (only closed, bottled water is allowed)

Youth Volunteer Policy

• Minimum age to volunteer: 6 years

• Volunteers under 16 must have an adult signed up and supervising

• Chaperone ratios:

  • 1 adult per 5 volunteers ages 6–13

  • 1 adult per 10 volunteers ages 14–16

Extra Ways to Make an Impact

• Bring a food donation – non-perishable items such as dry goods and canned goods are welcome

• Share your experience on social media – tag @feedingsandiego and use their Instagram GIFs (search “Feeding San Diego” in Stories)

• Support financially – consider becoming a monthly donor or giving to one of their campaigns here
