Directions

A challenge where students submit innovative AI-driven solutions for use in supply chain. Submit a proposal to our A.I. Committee for a chance to advance your supply chain solution to a broader audience of supply chain professionals and leaders. This can be individual or with a group  - it is designed to challenge you to make use of A.I. to better the supply chain. Suggested focus areas for project submissions include:

  • AI for route optimization and logistics planning
  • AI for Supplier risk management 
  • AI for demand forecasting
  • AI for Supply chain sustainability (carbon reduction, circular economy, etc.)
  • Other emerging trends in supply chain 


Contest Requirements

  • REGISTER BELOW for the Student A.I. Contest with your .edu or school provided email address. 
  • Competing as an INDIVIDUAL  - or - a GROUP is OK!
  • Become an ASCM San Diego Chapter Member. It's FREE! Students Join Here
  • Submit Your Project as a Powerpoint / or Google slide deck (5 pages or less) and/ or Video (2-min or less) to [email protected]
  • Deadline to Submit your project is no later than DEC 5th, 2025.

Score / Grading Rubric

Projects will be scored with points in the following areas:

    1. Clarity of the Supply Chain Problem Definition (20 points)
    2. Effective use of AI Tools (20 points)
    3. Inclusion and quality of technical data and analysis (20 points)
    4. Ability to demonstrate impact on the end-to-end supply chain (20 points)
    5. Strength of communication, dashboards and storytelling (20 points)

    Great opportunities for advice, mentorship and networking are available to winners and to any student who submits an AI project.
